Not that anyone will ever be reading this, but I know what I want to write about on here. I, like many, got sucked into F1 through the electric sports docuseries, Drive to Survive. I’m honestly shocked by how much I’ve gotten into the sport over the past couple years. It’s a shame to have taken this long for me to get into the scene, but I am definitely here to stay. Whether it’s the absurdity that is an F1 qualifying session or the intensity of the Grand Prix, the spectacle almost always delivers.

Anyway, everyone already knows F1s cool, but there is one major thing I’ve noticed as an American F1 fan. No where, I mean no where, does anyone discuss the gambling odds related to F1 events. To an extent it makes total sense. Grand Prix odds are tied to qualifying and qualifying odds are tied to performance in the practice sessions. The only real value you can get is putting your money down before the weekend even starts. Which is an insane risk. Sure you can look at performance over the past couple of weeks, see the upgrades for the weekend, maybe even look at past track performance but it’s so hard to predict before we see cars on track.

Having said all that bulljunk, there are still ways to make a nice little profit betting F1. I’m certainly no expert and I may have mentioned I just became a fan of the sport but my goal is going to be to look at the sport from a gambling perspective for however long I keep this up. This could be the only time I mention writing about F1, but I think this is a good path to take since no ones talking about it.

F1 it is, not sure when I’ll be back on the subject but before we know it we’ll be talking about livery releases and counting down the days until testing. Here’s to hoping some one can catch Mr. Verstappen.
